BISHOP A. CARTER
Pastor

Bishop A. Carter is the eldest child born to Evangelist Eloise Carter and the late Elder Jesse Carter. He is also the proud father of one son and a daughter-in-love Alvin & Carleen Carter, Jr. He was saved, baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at a young age.

As a debonair employee in the travel industry, he walked in humility and holiness unto the Lord which allowed him to use his God given gifts to fulfill the needs of others.

He received an Honorary Doctorate of Theology from Liberty Outreach Ministry Bible Institute. Bishop Carter also attended Indiana University Northwest where he graduated with honors and now hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in

Criminal Justice with a major in Public Affairs. He is a member of Alpha Phi Sigma and the Criminal Justice Honor Society. He attended Trinity College and will continue to further his seminary education to obtain a Doctorate of Theology Degree. Most of his ministerial training and spiritual development stems from his Pentecostal roots throughout his life. For two decades souls have been saved and set free by the Power of the Holy Ghost. During this time, God used Bishop Carter to Prophecy, give Words of Wisdom, Heal, Deliver and Restore souls for the kingdom.

Bishop Carter, a man chosen by God to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, humbled himself under God's mighty hand and answered the call 30 years ago to pastor and lead God's people in the way of Holiness. He has been the Under-Shepherd over the Prayer Outreach Deliverance Church since 1991. In 2005, Bishop Carter was consecrated to the Office of Bishop. He was appointed in July 2007 to the Ecclesiastical Episcopal Office of the General Board of Bishops of Bible Way Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ Worldwide Inc.

In a vision God showed Bishop A. Carter that he would be evangelizing throughout the world teaching the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was instructed by God to start a Pentecostal Network. Through this vision the Prayer Outreach Church Evangelistic In The Lord Jesus Christ Network, Inc. (E.I.J.C. Network) was birth and this was the beginning of God's plan for evangelism being fulfilled. The E.I.J.C. Network is a Pentecostal fellowship that is built on the Apostles Doctrine that promote unity, accountability, holiness and restoration to churches and ministries in the Body of Christ. On July 19, 2013 the Ecclesiastical Episcopal College of Bishops and Apostles ordained and confirmed Bishop Alvin Carter as the Presiding Bishop of this great organization.

The late Chief Apostle Floyd E. Nelson with the guidance of the Lord chose Bishop A. Carter in 2017 as the next Indiana Episcopal Diocesan and it was confirmed, and he was appointed in October of 2018. He now holds the position as a Member of the General Board of Bishops and the Indiana Episcopal Diocesan of the International Bible Way Church of Jesus Christ, Inc. of Washington DC. Bishop Carter being moved with compassion begin counseling individuals battling with substance abuse. He is also an active high school educator for the Gary Public School System where he daily instruct and guide young people down a path of success.

Bishop Carter believes that all things are possible through Christ Jesus. His favorite saying is "I shall Not Die, but Live and Declare the Works of the Lord. I am Blessed and Highly Favored of the Lord." So, all Glory, Honor and Thanks belongs to God and his parents, Evangelist Eloise and the late Elder Jesse Carter for their prayers, sacrifices and labor of love.
